Comprehensive Suicide Prevention

UNC IPRC is collaborating with NCDHHS to build statewide capacity for suicide prevention among IVP practitioners through programs and activities, including the Injury-Free NC Academy and the Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Advisory Council.

In 2020, the NCDHHS received inaugural funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for a Comprehensive Suicide Prevention (CSP) program. This grant aims to address family, community, and societal issues that contribute to suicide through data-informed prevention strategies.
