Mission and Vision
Injury-Free NC is a statewide injury prevention initiative developed and facilitated by the University of North Carolina’s Injury Prevention Research Center and the North Carolina Division of Public Health Injury and Violence Prevention Branch.
Our Mission
Our organizations share a commitment to coordinating efforts and maximizing resources to strengthen our state’s capacity to prevent injuries and violence. We convene and connect partners and provide accessible training, resources, and other educational opportunities on emerging needs that support individuals and organizations who work to prevent injury and violence in NC and beyond.
Our Vision
We envision a North Carolina where those working to prevent injury and violence have equitable access to high-quality learning opportunities, and residents live safely, free from injury and violence, so they can live their lives to their fullest potential. We aspire to share the fruits of our work with other states and hope our successes will serve as a model for injury & violence prevention across the country.
